Call for Illustrator

Penn Program in Environmental Humanities has issued a call for watercolor illustrators, open through April 22, 2021. We are looking for a versatile illustrator to bring our My Climate Story workbook to life. This book will present a curriculum for climate literacy to educators that builds on a sequence of three climate storytelling workshops. 

To apply, please reference the linked slide deck for the workshop on climate interviewing. The slides also include a presentation script. These slides will not appear in the book. Please send a watercolor sketch showing a creative and appealing representation of the concept of one of the slides in the deck. 

Outcomes of this project will be a cover illustration and nine interior illustrations. The budget for this project is $2,000. This is a work-for-hire project, 1/3 payment on contract and 2/3 payment at completion. The project begins in April, with a deadline of June 1, 2021.
