Working Wednesdays: The Philadelphia Area Environmental Justice Curriculum Hub, Davy Knittle and Andrew Niess
The Philadelphia Area Environmental Justice Curriculum Hub is a living archive of resources for connecting middle and high school students with sites of environmental justice advocacy in and around Philadelphia. The hub welcomes students, advocates, educators, and artists to contribute any curricular materials, writing, film, interviews, oral histories, and art in the pursuit of racial and environmental justice in the Philadelphia area.
Our presenters will be PPEH dissertation fellow Andrew Niess and PPEH graduate fellow Davy Knittle, who welcome feedback on their developing project, The Philadelphia Area Environmental Justice Curriculum Hub. A draft of their call for submissions for the project will be circulated in advance of the event.
This Spring, PPEH offers a new lunch series, Working Wednesdays, designed to showcase in-progress Community Based Participatory Research (CBPR) straddling theoretical and practical environmental concerns with a focus on our mid-Atlantic region. These sessions take place on Wednesdays, 12:30-1:30 PM sharp.
