Exploitation, conservation, release, and reorganization — all socio-ecological systems undergo this adaptive cycle. Using this systems thinking approach to sustainability called Panarchy, I study urban water at Penn. With PPEH, I will continue theorizing the successful transformation and reorganization of Aarhus, Denmark's water sector for climate adaptation via adaptive management.
